TPP Tissue Culture Plates & Plate Inserts

6 - 12 - 24 - 96 Well Plates
Tissue Culture Plates
  • TC plates are individually packaged in transparent peel off bags
  • Designed for easy and stable stacking, can be mix-stacked
  • Outstanding optical clarity of the well bottoms for microscopic examinations and spectroscopic measurements
  • High grade, low-toxin polystyrene
  • TC Plates are gamma sterilized
  • Bath-wise monitoring cell growth characteristics

The new generation of TC Plates is characterized by yellow strip marking areas and excellent display of the black embossed well identification. The special designs offer an effective well ventilation and a safe, easy grip plate. The cell growth surface TC treatment is limited to the well bottoms. It provides an efficient attachment and growth for the most varied types of cell lines. Untreated well wall allow a flattening of the meniscus to reduce diffusion of light. The serration areas located on the sides allow the plate to be easily lifted from the bench or the incubator shelf. A slightly larger lid allows for easy lift of the lid. Humidity adherence effect is minimized and plates can be separated with ease when stacked on top of one another. The plates feature black embossed well markings and a one way lid ensured by one shaped corner matching the plate end. Both plates and lids are equipped with yellow marking strips which also help to eliminate superposition of the lid to the plate.A unique air-extraction ventilation feature maximizes external/internal gas exchange and reduces media evaporation without altering the CO2 diffusion. Rings on the lid prevent cross-contamination from well condensate.

Plate Inserts: Maxicell™ Inserts for 6 and 24 Well Plates
Tissue Culture Plates

The Maxicell™insert is a new porous tissue culture plate insert offering cell biologists a superior system for both culturing and observing cells.

Maxicell™ inserts incorporate the advanced aluminium oxide membrane. This membrane has a tightly controlled pore size distribution and provides a rigid, uniform surface for cell attachment and growth. The porosity of the Maxicell™ membrane ensures the free diffusion of ions, macromolecules and other nutrients to both the baso-lateral and apical plasma membranes of attached cells.
  • This is essential to the growth of polar cells such as epithelia which have distinct upper and lower surfaces.
  • Culturing these cells on non-porous surfaces reduces the likelihood of attaining a differentiated state.
  • Maxicell™ inserts provide an environment more closely resembling the in vivo situation, allowing more sophisticated in vitro modeling of in vivo functions.

Maxicell™ Inserts offer several benefits:

  • They have significantly improved clarity
  • They are ideal for staining
  • They function effectively with or without matrix coatings

The following cells have been cultured on uncoated Maxicell™ inserts:

  • BHK, HEp-G2, LLC-PK, WRC, CACO-2, Hep-2, MDCK, CHO, HELA, L929, and 3T3.

Maxicell™ inserts have been successfully used in a variety of applications, which include:

  • Epithelial polarization studies
  • Ttransport studies
  • Co-cultivation studies
  • Ttoxicity testing
